Gary Mello is a Rhode Island native, born in Providence and raised in Bristol. His parents, having emigrated to the East Bay Area from the Azorean Portuguese islands, raised their family with the same principles of their native village; A foundation established in morals, dedication to family and a sense of pride, manifest in their life’s work; a long history of home building and craftsmanship, that goes back three generations.

 

Gary’s diverse background started with a degree from Roger Williams University in Psychology.  In 2004, while pursuing a new position in Boston in Telecommunications, Gary discovered a love for Real Estate sales, after his wife Jennifer began a new career in Mortgage Lending, and began selling real estate, specializing in new construction sales and working with local builders and developers in the region.  Jennifer later joined Gary, developing a “husband and wife” sales team known as “The Mello Group”. In 2011, Gary & Jennifer launched their own real estate brokerage and in 2012, Gary decided to establish himself as a local home builder.

 

Oracle has now established itself as a leading custom home builder in our region, having built over 120 homes since 2015 and developing a reputation as a client-centric company, offering architecturally unique designs and a dedication to true craftsmanship and attention to detail, while focusing on his client’s goals and vision through every step of the process.

 

Gary’s appreciation for building science is evident from the first time you meet him.  He is very technical in his building approach, as he is knowledgeable and well-informed in a wide array of leading building methodologies including air-sealing, advanced insulation techniques, the latest in heating and cooling, and even preparing homes for solar power. Clients who are interested in utilizing solar power appreciate reducing the carbon footprint of their homes and operation cost savings, realized over time.

 

In terms of architectural design, Gary is passionate about building homes that are truly unique, and he embraces clients who are creative and bold in their design ideas; In fact, he is motivated and driven by the challenge.
